Maritime ecosystem protection and sustainable management

Another key action area of the Rise for Nature organization is the protection of maritime ecosystems which over the years has been facing anthropogenic related pressures across Cameroon and Africa as a whole. In this thematic area, the organization focuses on the following
⦁ Campaigning against indiscriminate fishing
⦁ Campaigning against industrial pollution of the oceans, rivers, springs and streams
⦁ Engaging women and youth groups and movements in the cleaning of beaches
⦁ Protecting aquatic species especially those that are near extinction of being over exploited
⦁ Engaging stakeholders for the promotion of policies and practices which favour maritime ecosystem protection and conservation around Cameroon and Sub Saharan Africa.
